No catch. Most international couples planning a Tuscany wedding spend months researching from blog posts that all say the same thing. This worksheet exists because the right couples are the ones who do their homework — and after they've read 18 pages of mine, the photography conversation becomes much easier on both sides. Every figure was cross-referenced against the venue's own published material plus at least one independent industry source — typically five or more sources per venue. Where sources disagreed, I went with the venue's own contract language. Capacities, ceremony statuses, and travel times are accurate as of May 2026; venues update their policies, so confirm anything that matters before signing a contract.

Of the ten venues covered, only two are licensed by their local municipality for legally binding civil ceremonies on the venue grounds: Villa Medicea di Lilliano (Comune di Bagno a Ripoli) and Casa Cornacchi (Comune di Bucine). The other eight allow symbolic ceremonies onsite; the legal civil rite must be performed at the local town hall — typically Florence (Palazzo Vecchio), Siena, Volterra, or Castelnuovo Berardenga depending on the venue's comune. Most international couples now marry legally at home and have a fully personalised symbolic ceremony in Tuscany — the worksheet explains both paths.

The most reliable rule of thumb across multiple Tuscan planners: budget €900–€1,400+ per guest for a quality wedding, all-in. That figure includes venue, catering, planning, photography, flowers, entertainment, and the 22% Italian VAT added to almost every invoice. The worksheet breaks this down by wedding size — intimate elopements (€10k–€25k+), small weddings (€30k–€55k+), medium weddings (€55k–€160k), and large weddings (€95k–€350k+) — and lists six commonly overlooked hidden costs.

May, June, late September, and early October are the most comfortable for outdoor ceremonies — temperatures around 18–28°C, soft evening light, and lower rain risk. July and August are beautiful but hot (often 30°C+); they require careful timeline planning and reliable indoor backups. The worksheet includes a full 12-month calendar with temperature ranges, light quality, and seasonality notes for each month based on 30 years of Tuscan weather data.
